No Chinstrap! The Future of Helmets

An Interesting new helmet design was unveiled at the Milan Motorcycle show, which opens and closes from the rear which alleviates the need for a chinstrap.

Riders can easily put it on or take it off without removing glasses or gloves. The system also allows safer removal in emergencies with no pressure on the neck.

Now I know what you’re thinking, no this helmet is not motorized with a battery system, that was just the helmet in a display case continuously opening and closing the helmet as a demonstration.

It’s a manually operated helmet, by pressing the 2 red buttons on each side which unlocks the rear which then swivels up. Whether it becomes the new standard or not, it’s a smart rethink of the traditional helmet, and one that could make riding both safer and easier.
