*Deer was seen eating near the cam tree as the 1st eagle flew to the nest. Wilson flew in 1st the Lotus dropped down and joined him from the nest tree. Wilson seems to be molting some feathers. Wilson worked on biting off the tall grass on the nest then Lotus flew up to the tree perch. He stayed a little while before he flew off. 851am Lotus returned back and stayed a little while before flying back off again. Seemed to be waiting on Wilson but he never showed back up....

July 2020 this pair of eagles were named Lotus and Wilson
The pair, and their offspring can typically be seen in the northern patch of American lotus. So our female is named after the plant. This is where Wilson Creek feeds into Cowan Lake. So our male is named after the creek.
*2020 they had one eaglet that successfully fledged*...
The eagles have made a nest along the scenic waterway near Morrow.

While sightings of the majestic birds are common in Warren County as bald eagles often migrate along the Little Miami River in the spring and fall, this is the first time a pair has been confirmed to be nesting, said Kathy Garza-Behr, spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Wildlife....
