Sweet Pawz And Meows received an urgent plea from a very crowded and underrepresented shelter to pull a couple of kittens. Then they were alerted about 12 kittens that were red-listed. So of course they pulled all 12 babies and welcomed them into their loving care.
All 12 of these babies are suffering from a long list of ailments. Six of them have severe diarrhea, four have ringworm, one has an upper respiratory infection, and one is alarmingly constipated. However, two of the kittens are rescuers' biggest concerns.
The first kitten is Jelly Bean. She is 11 weeks old and suffering from major diarrhea and constipation for over a month now. The vet suggested megacolon and they are starting with lactulose and enemas since she's half the size she should be. For now, rescuers are working around the clock to help her defecate as her little body has no mobility in pushing and every time she eats her belly swells up in pain. The second baby, Bubbles, has a presumed tail malfunctioning or tail injury, and the vet believes she may have Manx syndrome. She has diapers on the way and meds started and she's just a darling little girl. Rescuers need to confirm there aren't any other symptoms going on as she's had treatment in the shelter but she's been nonresponsive.
All 12 kittens need general vet care and ringworm needs continued vet visits and treatments, so the vet bills are piling up. If you can donate to their care it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for helping save these sweet babies' lives!
