13-Year Old Ragdoll Cats Meet 3-Month Old Ragdoll Kitten

This video features my Aunt Jean's 13-year old Ragdoll cats, Hobbs and Maddie, and my cousin Mary's 3-month old Ragdoll kitten, Birch. This is 24 hours after they met.

Please note: This is not normal. My Aunt has really cool cats. Most adult cats - and especially senior cats need at least 2 weeks of introductions in order to get along with a newcomer. With cats, it is super important that you take your time when introducing a new kitten or cat to your house.

Mary had gone out of town with her family and Birch needed a place to stay - and since Hobbs, Maddie and Birch will be spending time with each other at their respective houses, it was time for them to meet. Lucky for Mary and my Aunt Jean, they both have very cool, welcoming cats.

My 12-year old Ragdoll cat Charlie, for example, I'd anticipate, would need a full 2 weeks for a newcomer or more. And it's best to start that newcomer off in a safe room.
