Abyssinian Cat breed,

The Abyssinian, is a colorful cat with a distinctive ticked coat that is medium in size and regal in appearance; lithe, hard, and muscular, with eager activity and lively interest in their surroundings.

They are, frequently temperamentally and, physically well balanced.

Abyssinians are not suitable for people, looking for a cat that enjoys, being picked up and cuddled.

Because, Abyssinians are often courageous, curious, and high-spirited, when they feel restrained, they attempt to break free.

That is not to say, that Abyssinians are cold or unfriendly; they are typically affectionate, devoted, and loving companions.

While lap cats are not typically found, they may prefer to sit next to you rather than on you.

They will, however, follow you from room, to room to keep an eye on what you are doing.

The average Abyssinian cat weighs between, 6 and 10 pounds and, stands between 12 and 16 inches tall.

The body of these medium-sized cats, is slender but muscled.

Because, they are a generally healthy breed, their average lifespan can range from 9, to 15 years, though some have been reported, to live even longer.

Don't be surprised, if you do a double-take when you first see an Abyssinian.

Their, stunning coat has a ticked pattern, which means each hair has alternating bands of light and dark colors.

With a ticked coat pattern similar, to that of a mountain lion (or cougar), it's no surprise that many people, mistake an Abyssinian for a small, wild cat at first glance.
