Bengal cats, With his distinctive spotted coat and large size, the Bengal looks like a wild cat on the prowl, however, they are loving and affectionate pets.
Bengal cats were named after the Asian Leopard cats scientific name, Felis Ben-gal-sensis.
They were created through breeding a domestic cat and the Asian leopard cat.
The first crossbreed was performed by Jean Mill in 1963, but the combination wasn’t perfected until the mid-1980s. Today, Bengals are bred only with each other.
Bengal Cats are one of the most desired exotic domestic cat breeds.
They are distinctly different than all other breeds of domestic cats. If you’re new to the world of Bengals, then here are some interesting, fun facts about the Bengal Cat.
Bengals are a lot of fun to live with, but they’re definitely not the cat for everyone, or for first-time cat owners. They are extremely intelligent, curious and active, they demand a lot of interaction from their owners.
