No animal is more misunderstood than the inky-furred feline, the black cat. Black cats, like black canines, might have a difficult time finding a home. This is known as "black cat syndrome" at many shelters. "It may appear surprising to many of us cat enthusiasts that somebody would discriminate against a feline merely based on fur color."
