Blind Baby Kitten Found Laying In Agony Due To Gaping Wound On Paw

S’more was found outside hobbling along the road, sporting an unsightly gaping wound. Searching for a place to take refuge, but this little kitten is not only majorly wounded, she’s blind. As a Siamese, it’s incredible no one took pity on her sooner, as she cried for help on the streets of Texas.

Luckily, a good Samaritan spotted the unfledged young kitten, noticing the severity of her injury, there was no way they could turn the other cheek and let this little one go. The civilian scooped up S’more and took her back to their home. The kind-hearted person then wrapped up this precious girl’s paw but noticed that she wasn’t using the arm at all and when it was unwrapped, the itty bitty baby couldn’t feel it and would proceed to gnaw at it. The civilian reached out to multiple cat rescues but none would take in the small feral kitten. The civilian took to Facebook and soon came across the amazing team of rescuers at Saving Animals Lives 24/7 Rescue who corresponded with the citizen. Rescuers were quick to act, as they were sure such a severe wound could have an extreme infection if not properly tended to. The team was able to retrieve the young lady and take her to the emergency vet to find out the fate of her tiny foot.

Currently, S’more is at the vet being fully assessed. Doctors have not come back with a full prognosis but have mentioned that they believe amputation may be the only answer. Rescuers are heartbroken by the news but they know that she could live a better life without it. The team has reassured us that she is getting the best care possible and will be updating us as time goes on.
