Bobcats contribute to Conservation 3D 180VR

Pia and Venkman arrived into the Big Cat Rescue bobcat rehabilitation program in May 2021. After months of healing from mange and gaining weight, they were getting ready for release day. Prior to release Big Cat Rescue partnered with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, to fit these 2 females with GPS collars and have them aid in a research project on Florida Bobcats. Learn more about the project in this 3D 180VR, watch the collaring process, post release exam and finally their dash to FREEDOM!

For the first time in history for our Bobcat Rehab Program, Big Cat Rescue partnered with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and released two female bobcats with tracking collars back to the wild.
