Meet Bonnie Boo! Nickname: Bouncy Bean. Profession: being sweet and cute!
If happiness were a dog, it might just look like Bonnie! She’s petite, bouncy, and always ready to turn any patch of grass into her own personal trampoline. L O L! The moment she warms up to a new dog friend, she starts hip-hopping around the yard like a tiny frog who just discovered friendship. It’s not just cute, it’s heart-melting and the easiest way to get a quick laugh!
We believe Bonnie is a lab mix who is about 2 years old! She weighs about 49lbs so she is going to stay a relatively mediumish sized pup forever! Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and we can't make any guarantees. But her lack of dna results pale in comparison to the joy it is to have Bonnie baby in your life!
We quickly gave her the nickname Bouncy Bean because, well, you’ll see in her video below!
Bonnie’s gentle eyes say what words can’t: Please love me, and I will love you forever. She’s the kind of dog that makes you believe that dogs really are man’s best friend! When we spent the day together, during her cool down time, all she wanted to do was be close to me. It was so sweet! I would move and she would follow. She was my little shadow who I couldn’t help but shower with kisses!
She’s a little shy at first when meeting new dogs, but once she feels safe, it’s game on! She was ZOOMING down the yard chasing her new canine friends and it was so fun to watch! She would thrive in a home with another playful pup who enjoys silly zoomies and mutual friendship.
When it comes to people, Bonnie is all in! She adored the kids she met during her visit! They showered her with hugs and treats and declared her the funniest dog ever! L O L! Some of our staff even found themselves whispering, “Maybe I should take her home...” She just has that effect on people. She would do great in a home with children and would love to join them on their daily antics around the house.
Bonnie is very curious about cats! And while she means no harm, she definitely wants to hang out with them! We consider her to be cat tolerant. If she’s going to live with a cat, it would be best if they are dog savvy and if there’s another dog in the home to help share the spotlight! Because otherwise, that kitty might become the unwilling center of Bonnie’s enthusiastic attention.
Also, at her foster home, she’s crated at night and sometimes during the day. So when you’re not home, she does just fine! But, Bonnie is a dog who could definitely thrive with a lifestyle of adventure! We can picture her perfectly: perched beside you at a coffee shop, trotting proudly through a local brewery patio, or zipping down a trail with her ears flopping like flags of joy. Because of her love for play and running, a home with a yard would suit her far better than apartment life.
Bonnie is the kind of pup who will grow up beautifully alongside a family, making memories, stealing kisses, and giving all the cuddles! She’s silly willy, incredibly loving, and ready for her forever family!
