Well, you know the feeling you get when you have an eyelash in your eye? The irritation you feel?

Imagine that, but way worse as there are MANY hairs in her eye and she can't ever get them out on her own!

We don't know how long Dora had the entropion in both of her eyes (a conditon where her eyelids turned in and her hairs constantly rubbed against her eyes). It's definitely been for quite some time. We didn't think she was in pain, but this condition is super painful even though cats may not show overt signs of being in pain ????

Fortunately,  she had surgery on both eyes to correct this and we can tell she already has some relief.

Unfortunately,  the right eye we thought was missing originally, may need operated on again. Because she has been squinting for so long,  her eye on that side isn't relaxing quite yet. She may need the third eyelid (not the eye) removed so that it doesn't continue to block her vision.  We have to give it some more time to see if it will get better.

Thank you for all the well wishes for Dora. She came to us about 2 weeks ago when her owner surrendered her to the shelter. Her owner was not able to get her the care she needed for her eyes and stated she had these issues since birth.
