Ficus recently turned 2. He was a rescue kitten. We saw him hiding under a pickup truck. He was about 3 months old and was skinny, dirty, starving, and full of fleas and earmites. That was in January 2021. We brought him home and later found out he’s a Japanese bobtail.

Emma is turning 8 this June. My late sister Diane rescued Emma from a caged life when Emma was about 2 years old. She took Emma home and set her free to play and run around. Emma is a Shih Tzu.

Shirley is the offspring of Emma because of an accidental pregnancy. Shirley is a mixed Shih Tzu or a Shih Apso. She turned 4 recently.

These 3 have bonded very well and they have grown as one family. Their play fights never escalated and they never hurt each other. They have taught us a lot about acceptance, tolerance, patience, and love.
