Ex-rescue kitten Ficus is a fastidious cat. He regularly grooms himself. But because he likes to climb the kitchen counter, dining table, and insists on sleeping on my bed, i still clean him with a warm damp wash cloth. I have only washed him twice in the past with soap and water and he absolutely hates it. So now i just use a wash cloth.

Ficus was about 3 months old when we rescued him. Months later we found out that he was a Japanese bobtail. This breed is known for its very pleasant playful nature, is affectionate and highly intelligent. He also adapts well as a solo cat and knows how to play by himself.
