When I go to work, my cat Ficus is all by himself in the apartment. He’s a very playful cat and I’m glad he can play by himself. Unfortunately this is at the expense of having all of his toys scattered on the floor. But that’s fine. It’s better than him feeling miserable while he waits for me to return.

Ficus was a rescue kitten. He was about 3 months old when we found him hiding under a pickup truck. He was tiny, skinny, starving, full of fleas and ear mites. We brought him home to live with our 2 dogs - Emma & Shirley. The doggies didn’t like him at first but they eventually accepted Ficus. The 3 have become very close. Ficus turned 2 a few months ago. We found out he’s a Japanese bobtail months after we rescued him. That explained his very playfulness, unquenchable curiosity, intelligence, and loving nature.
