Got this puffin toy when I recently traveled to Iceland. The puffin is a famous bird with his red beak and orange feet. There are around 9 to 10 million Atlantic puffins in Iceland where the people population is less than 400,000.

The puffin is currently the favorite toy of ex-rescue kitten Ficus. He likes to groom it and sleep with it. But he also likes to bite and kick it. Perhaps he’s imagining the toy as a prey too.

We found Ficus hiding underneath a pickup truck. He was tiny, skinny, starving, full of fleas and earmites. We estimated that he was about 3 months old. We brought him home and he grew up with our doggies Emma & Shirley. Later on we found out that he was a Japanese bobtail. That explains his very playful nature. He’s also highly intelligent and lovable. He will turn 3 this September.
