Ficus watches me clean his litter box almost all the time. Often right after I’ve cleaned his toilet, he goes and does his business again. And of course, I clean the box immediately after he’s done. He wants his litter box clean before re-using it. He’s a fussy cat.

Ficus was a rescue kitten. He was about 3 months old when we found him underneath a pickup truck. He was tiny (most likely undernourished), quite dirty, skinny, full of fleas and ear mites). We brought him home to live with our 2 dogs, Emma & Shirley. The doggos didn’t like him in the beginning but they eventually accepted him. They’ve become best buddies. A few months after we rescued Ficus, we found out he’s a Japanese bobtail, a highly intelligent and playful breed. Ficus is turning 3 this September 2023.
