My cat had a rough start to life and was separated from His Mom and litter mates too young. We rescued Him from His situation when he was 8 weeks old.

If your cat shows signs of separation anxiety, definitely consult with your vet to get a proper diagnosis.

If you are looking for helpful tips, this is how I manage it.

- Quality time on a set schedule. Schedule a minimum of 10-15 minute play sessions with your cat every day. I schedule 15-20 minutes morning and night.

- When leaving the house, I leave out his favorite toys, some interactive toys, and a puzzle feeder to keep him occupied.

- I provide elevated vertical spaces and hideaways. We have multiple cat trees and multiple cat caves around the house. When I leave the house, I also put his favorite cat tunnel in the living room.

- When leaving the house for an entire day we have a wonderful pet sitter, my Mom. My Mom loves my cat and my cat loves my Mom, so it works out great.
