So, who started this ridiculous rumor that cats are independent creatures? I have a theory. It was probably started by a group of mischievous cats who wanted to give their owners a false sense of hope. They knew that if they pretended to be independent, their humans would be more likely to leave them alone for long periods of time. And what do cats love more than anything? Alone time to nap, of course!
