First set of longhair adults (championship) class judging at the 2018 CFA International Cat Show held in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
The judge is Rachel Anger.
Due to the cancellation of the 2020 show because of WuFlu, I've started where I left off (mostly) for the 2018 show. Interesting going back to previous years to see how I did things then compared to now. I shot this show in Sony's log format 'cause it's suppose to capture more dark & light than the more usual formats that pretty much give you what you see. This log format "compresses" values like luminosity to achieve this - 'cept there's no default way to "decompress" the result into something more natural/viewable, so one's pretty much left to one's own resources on that. Of course I tried this out before going to the 2018 show and it worked fine with my color corrected house lighting - but, from what I've experienced, show hall lighting is far removed from color corrected - so I got quite a surprise/nightmare when trying to color correct when I got home. Sure there are prepackaged log converts (lots of them) which all produced terrible results for me, so I muchly tinkered with color 'till the 2019 show arrived.
After repondering on restarting, this guy gave me the best starting place:

I'll of course be doing lots of tweaking anyway, but it's great to get some sort of decent starting point now. Next I'll be doing a comparison of what I'm using now compared to in 2018/19 when I was doing that show, just for my own amusement if nothing else.
