Dog Pulls Over Down Snow-Covered Bridge During Skijoring

This dog pulls her owner down a snow-covered bridge in a difficult skijoring challenge. Eleanor Crabb, 27, moved from Scotland to Alberta, Canada several years ago, and now she loves to make the most of the snowy conditions whenever she can. Eleanor is an advocated skier and she has accomplished many of the slopes nearby. Two years ago, Eleanor decided to put her skills to the test with a new type of challenge: skijoring with her German shepherd mix, Akela. Eleanor and Akela love skijoring, and they recently tried it out on a suspension bridge covered in thick white snow. Eleanor said: “We were hiking and saw the bridge covered in snow, I thought it would be really cool to ski over it. In the video, Akela is pulling me over the bridge, although it’s pretty steep so not much pulling was needed! I’m glad that I and Akela get to share hobbies, it makes me really happy. We mountain bike, canoe and ski together, and it gives us a really special bond. We definitely didn’t start on suspension bridges, we’ve been doing this a while. It’s a great activity to try out but people should maybe start out in an open field first. You have to be able to ski at an advanced level.”
