Dolphin is India's National aquatic animal. Unfortunately without proper conservation effort this beautiful, intelligent, attractive and shy animal are in the verge of extinction in our state. In India there are two species of Dolphin, One is Ganjetic river Dolphin and the other one is Sindh river Dolphin.
The Ganjetic river Dolphins are found in River Ganga and Brahmaputra.
We may often see them jump in the river. Locally they are known as "Susuk".
Despite everyone's casualness to save these wonderful creature, Mr Ganesh Chowdhury of Katwa, Bardhamaan, West Bengal, fully devoted himself to save this creature from extinction. In this story here is a short info about the present situation of Dolphins and Activity of Mr Ganesh.
