A large Bengal cat named Paul Newman has been coming to the Merseyside train station on the Liverpool South Parkway line every day for 10 years.

The cat lives in a private house next to the station, but instead of walking through other people's private yards, something attracts him to the station.

The cat started coming here as a kitten. Mostly he just sits or lies somewhere on a seat on the platform, not approaching the dangerous rails. His owners at first tried to wean him off coming here, but then abandoned the idea. Moreover, the station staff told them that the cat doesn't bother them at all.
