Fake Service Dog Runs Around Mall..

This mall is not pet friendly, it is illegal and very dangerous to fake a disability and medical equipment, especially letting your untrained pet run around and try to run at a real service dog.. faking a service dog is not funny or cute, it is a serious matter and I wish people took it more seriously.
The Food and Drug Administration's Food Guide lays down the law: with few exceptions, live animals of any kind are not permitted on the premises of a grocery store, a restaurant or other food establishment. The prohibition applies to dogs, cats, birds and other animals. There is an exception to service animals that are trained to aid a person with a disability.
Misrepresenting an animal as a service animal jeopardizes the independence and safety of people with disabilities. It also puts highly trained, expensive, and necessary service animals at risk of injury or death. Every time someone misrepresents their animal as a service animal it erodes the rights and public perception of people with disabilities as well as legitimate service animals.

A. The service animal must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered while in public places UNLESS these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the person's disability prevents use of these devices. In that case, the person must use voice, signal, or other effective means to maintain control of the animal.

Service animals do not have to wear a vest or patch or special harness identifying them as service animal.

Q22. Can service animals be any breed of dog?
A. Yes. The ADA does not restrict the type of dog breeds that can be service animals.
