FAMOUS CAT BREED IN USA

American Bobtail was developed in 1960s. They have a stubby "bobbed" and shorter tail than normal cats.This is because of a genetic mutation of the tail.

American bobtails have short and long haired coats. They can have any color of eyes and coats. People said that Bobtails are the result of a cross breeding between a tobby cat and a wild Bobcat.

The name of the male was Yodie and he was mated with a seal point siamese female to create the American Bobtails .Unfortunately the early bloodlines have died out.

In 1989 the breed was recognized by the International cat Association (TICA)

American Bobtails need 2 or 3 years to dovelope,they grow slower than many domestic cats in this development period.

American bobtails are playful social and energetic cats. They are so clever that they can escape from room with closed doors and from secured cages.
They love travelling.
They are athletic and well muscled.
They look like wild but they are so friendly.
