After that a #nongovernmentalorganization HEAL had brought the issue to the notice of #forest #department The #officers rushed to the place of occurrence and #arrested the wrong doers.
According to the DFO, Malda B.Siddhartha - "As a breakthrough in the case, Fearing arrest by Forest department two persons namely Mangal Hembram and Manmel Soren surrendered themselves at Range Office, Gazole on 30th October 2022." They were produced in CJM, Court Malda. Ajit Hembram was also arrested and his bale plea was rejected. They were prosecuted under wildlife acts.
According to the #top #forest officials of Malda the department will keep spreading awareness on the issues of #environment , Forest and #wildlife in the district. #awareness on the #conservation of Wildlife will be done through Miking and through #community #participation
