Yes, I use tools to teach my dog the rules of our games. And, I use tools to stop behaviors I don't want him to repeat. Using tools properly and fairly to communicate with my dog takes guesswork out of the exercise and provides clarity so that we can continue our playing as a team!
Enjoying time with a happy dog is the ultimate goal.
In this video, my 26 month old German Shepherd does not mind or care that he wearing a prong collar and an E collar because I used each one fairly and, most importantly, did not overuse them and abuse them!
He wears the E collar on every one of our hikes even though I never have to use it for recall.
