Have you had any guinea pigs with unique coats? Out of my 15 guinea pigs over the years, most have had coats you'd expect for their breeds. Here's the story of my three guinea pigs with unique coats.

You'll hear about Remy, who has a combination curly and straight coat. And there's Ollie, who surprised me by starting off looking like a longhair. With his fine, long, soft hair, I thought for sure he would grow up to look like a silkie/sheltie. But he looks a lot more like an American guinea pig these days, but with a tiny little rattail hairstyle on his back. I saved my favorite for last. My first guinea pig had a unique coat due to being an American/Abyssinian cross, thanks to her rosette cowlicks having a mind of their own!
