If you’re thinking about adding one to your family, there are a few things you should know first.
In the mid 60s in Canada a hairless kitten was born.
The kitten did not look like the usual hairless cat.
Or any other cat for that matter.
Due to natural genetic mutation, the kitten was mostly hairless and was given the name (Sphynx cat) taken from the Egyptian god – the Sphinx. The Sphinx as you are aware has a man’s head with a lion’s body.
There are some other hairless cat breeds, the Sphynx breed is well known. The most popular hairless cat breed.
Its sharp face, soft body, large ears and startling eyes, is evidence there is more to a cat than just a fur coat.
