American Shorthair adalah salah satu ras kucing yang terkenal dengan bulunya yang berwarna perak khas dan memiliki corak unik.
Kucing ini memiliki berbagai karakter yaitu keseimbangan yang baik, kaki lurus tetapi pendek, berbadan besar dan memiliki corak yang unik.
Asal mula ras kucing ini berawal dari benua eropa dan di kembangkan di amerika, sehingga lebih di kenal dengan sebutan American shorthair.
