Watch our gorgeous Maine Coon kitten playing with his favorite toy mouse. He then turns his attention to my clean washing - hmmm!

Fred is a red smoke Maine Coon and was just 5 months when this was filmed - he's a lot bigger now but just as playful.

Main Coons are very playful cats and enjoy several daily play sessions even as adults. Playing with your kitten is important as it helps to form a bond between the two of you.
Play is also important to keep a cat from becoming bored and depressed. It also prevents excess weight gain, especially with indoor cats.

You can use inexpensive toys such as ping pong balls, or scrunched-up paper. Interchanging them now and then keeps your kitten interested in playing.
