These bobtail kitties, also called Rumpies, are a feature among feral cats in the ranchland of North Florida. Four orphans presented themselves from beneath our deck in early July. I later discovered their momma a ways off deceased. We isolated the group when three of them displayed symptoms of Feline Calicivirus. One succumbed, one is recovered, Puck, one is improving -- she's called Bobtail Blondie (shown in the thumbnail) and Syd. Syd has been healthy all along. This 6minute video is the first time Puck and Syd have been able to play. No cat was injured in the making of this video.
