**IN FOSTER**

Beautiful,
Intelligent,
Agile, for her age,
Nearby, her humans, of course,
Cat, just to clarify,
Adorable, so her fosters say.

Well… this pretty well sums up Bianca… Wait! There's plenty more to share about this winter-white beauty!

This gorgeous Turkish Angora, a rare breed today, recently came to grace her foster’s doorstep in a roundabout way. Having been taken in by her original owner's family after the owner passed away, her new family was then forced to surrender her due to conflict with the family canine. Hey, a girl has the right to express her own opinions! Having spent almost her entire life with one person, this senior gal is eager to meet a new two-legged friend (or friends) who will love her the way she was cherished since birth.

True to this breed, Bianca is a social feline who, in a relatively short period of time, has bonded with her fosters. Her recent upheaval has certainly not seemed to affect her love for the two-legged variety. While at first communicating her uncertainty with silence, punctuated by the occasional hiss, once she settled in and began to trust her new human roommates, silent Bianca found her voice!  ‘Just call my name/ I'll be there in a hurry/ You don't have to worry…’ This arctic blonde definitely grooves to these lyrics. Call her name, and she often appears, happily chatting away, maybe even singing this exact song? Only she knows the answer.

When it comes to personality, Bianca is truly one of a kind! She is definitely ‘her own person, err, cat’. All things need to be on her terms; she knows what she wants, or does not want, and is not hesitant to make that clear. A gentle hiss, or subtle growl are her way of telling you she wants some alone time; after all, don’t we all yearn for some of this? She will return in short order, feeling refreshed and ready for the next experience. Once she trusts her humans, hissing will be replaced by her simply walking away from a situation she deems to be ‘not to her liking at that specific moment.’

When the mood strikes, Bianca has proven to be quite the ‘lap cat’. Once she feels comfortable, she will sneak an occasional ‘catnap;’ on your lap, or even sit and watch TV. How cozy is that? You will be lucky enough to have your very own electric blanket! Her foster also reports that Bianca enjoys napping on the bed, snuggly nestled amongst the covers, with, or without human company.

Head bonks, anyone? No…not the MMA, Bianca style. She is simply telling you that she wants attention. Bianca is a playful and energetic senior. Don’t let her age fool you; after all, ‘senior’ is just a term and age is just a number, isn’t that what they say? When playing with her toy wand, she likes to lie on her side and kind of 'punch' the mouse dangling from the string. This is more like the MMA, though definitely a tamer version. After a few rounds, she will grab the mouse and bite it, at times even growling to signal her victory. She is a versatile character who will play day and night – solo, or as a team .

Past negative encounters with canines are a definite signal that a home with this species is absolutely not for her. Furthermore, she delights in one-on-one attention, so, a quiet home, where she would be your one and only is preferable. Could Bianca be your ‘Turkish’ Delight? She has so much sweetness to offer, totally void of calories. In Narnia, it was a symbol of Edmund’s mistakes; it certainly will not be here.
