Meet Gershwin

Hi! I’m Gershwin, or Gersh for short, and I’m an all-black male kitten and I was allegedly born on July 25, 2022. A few weeks after I was born some mean lady they call a “trapper” collected me and seven other kittens along with a nursing momma, and took me to foster mommies house to hang out as I got to be a big boy. I had no idea at the time, but that lady brought us to a place called a “home”, and it’s been pretty sweet laying in big comfy beds, getting lots of delicious food and playing with a bunch of other kittens. Foster mommy even has this thing called “youtube” where I get to see birds, squirrels and fish.

When I’m not watching the TV, I am busy supervising the sweeping that goes on in the foster room. I try to help and show them what they are dong wrong, cause they keep sweeping the same area more than once. I can’t explain why they struggle with it, but she snuggles with me, so I forgive her. Which leads me to mention that I will be looking for a home that does not mind me cuddling up and sleeping on the people. Ya see, I really do love people, and want to make sure there is at least one of these in my new home.

Foster momma has been singing some song called “back to black” (out of tune, nonetheless) cause my fur is going back to black! I had a virus that my body was fighting, and I fought it good - cause my fur turned a little smokey, but now it’s going back to black. Anyhow, if you are interested in meeting, will you fill out an application so we can do so? I would love to meet my new family soon!

All cats & kittens are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV tested. Adoption fee is a minimum $90 per kitten donation to Feral Fixers. Discounted adoption fee if two kittens are adopted together, $150 for a pair. A brief screening questionnaire and contract apply!

All of our cats/kittens are in foster homes throughout DuPage County. We consider adopters within a reasonable driving distance.
