MacDougall came to the shelter after he and many other cats were found housed in the back of a U-Haul. He has been at the shelter since November and has undergone several treatment plans to make him the strong boy you see today. McDougall a low energy, lounging man .He will follow you around and supervises everything you do. He does avoid touch and will need a patient adopter who doesn't expect to much from him as this may or may not change with time . It takes him a bit to warm up to being around new people and new surroundings, a feliway diffuser would help with his transition. He has spent more time with other cats than he has people and would thrive best in a home with another cat. With out the companionship of another cat he will likely exhibit unwanted behavior issues such as excessive vocalization, become destructive or depressed. Sadly he have never been a pet cat and has lived his lives confined. An entire house is going to see foreign to them, starting out in one room for 3-4 weeks is recommended to help build trust and to encourage good bathroom habits. If you think you are the right match for this cat email hashcroft@hbspca.com to begin our No Contact Adoption Process.
