I have 2 Persian cats Elsa & Daisy and 4 kittens Melek, Bebek, Rasgullah and Little Tyson!

The purpose of this video is to show you how to set a cat room with all cat essentials. Our cat room is based in the basement it’s a very large room, the walls are tiled and painted. The floor has carpet and rug and we also have a heater for the winter. The sleeping and play section area is separate from the cat litter and the food area. It is very important that cat litter trays are kept separate from the eating and play area! And it’s very important that you clean the cat tray through the day! I clean my cat litter tray 3 times a day!

My cats are free to go everywhere in the house. However they need their own private room with essentials as they recognise this as their safe area. I buy cat wet food gourmet Perla in bulk and whiskers cat dry food in bulk. I also buy cat litter in bulk it makes life so much easier!

The cats and kittens, love the cat tree and their toys. I have introduced the kittens to wet food and they are exploring and sniffing. Also the litter tray has been introduced to the kittens and they are exploring!

My Daisy’s beautiful kittens, Melek, Bebek, Rasgullah and Tyson have turned 5 weeks! Time is flying by very quickly!

Physical development: At 5 weeks of age, a kitten’s teeth will continue to develop. The premolars will start to emerge. Eyes will be blue and ears will be growing and pointed. Claws will be retractable.

Behavioral development: Five-week-old kittens will be running and playing confidently. They will be developing social skills with humans and other animals. Their grooming skills will be improving. They will have perfected their use of the litter box by this age.

Average temperature: 100-101 degrees F. At this age, a heating source is no longer required as long as the environment is a comfortable temperature of 70-75 degrees.

Average weight: 1.2-1.4 pounds (550-650 grams)

Care information: Five-week-old kittens, if healthy, may begin the weaning process. Kittens should receive ample “slurry” or kitten wet food, in addition to access to their mother’s milk or, if orphaned, a bottle. If weaned, food and water should be provided at all times. Always provide supplemental feeding and ensure that the kitten is maintaining a healthy weight and body condition during weaning. Provide a shallow litter box at all times.
