NEW! A5531011 Benedict | German Shepherd/Doberman Pinscher mix

#A5531011 Benedict is an exuberant 2 year old German Shepherd and Doberman Pinscher mix who was returned to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on February 19. Weighing 82 lbs Benedict is a long legged tall boy who is athletic and strong. We recommend a strong person to handle him, and also think he would benefit from a harness. He pulls quite a bit on leash and is curious about everything, making him a little unpredictable walking around when he sees something interesting that he wants to investigate. Benedict is toy motivated and loves to play fetch. We think he’s very smart and needs a job, so he would excel with training in a group class or in a more advanced specialty class. For now the shelter is saying any other dogs in the home need to be calm, and any kids need to be at least 8 years old to be the best playmates while he learns to control is enthusiasm. Benedict shows signs of housebreaking and has all the potential in the world to be a well behaved companion once he knows what is expected of him and gets the positive reinforcement and structure that he needs.
