Tortoiseshell Maine Coons are friendly and affectionate. Mona is our two-year-old black smoke tortoiseshell Maine Coon and she weighs 13.5 lbs. She definitely has tortitude. Today she is demonstrating how much Maine Coons like to purr. She likes to distract me when I'm working and today she closed my laptop and demanded lots of attention. Like most Maine Coons, Mona has an amazing personality. She is quite noisy and wanders around meowing and trilling. She can be feisty and chases our 10-month-old kittens about. They are bigger than her now and will soon chase her back.
