The Peterbald's origins may be traced back to 1993, when the Donskoy was crossed with the Oriental Shorthair. Due to its popularity in the city of Saint Petersburg, a new hairless cat evolved and was christened the Peterbald. Certain Peterbald cats have been born with very short coats over the years, thus the breed isn't invariably hairless.

The refined Siamese appears to be dressed for a beautiful masquerade ball in delicate evening clothing with sleek black accessories and tanzanite-blue eyes. For generations, cats with light-colored coats and black masks, ears, paws, and tails have been recognized in Thailand (previously Siam). The Siamese is a natural breed, which means that its original pointed appearance was caused by a genetic mutation.
