Located within the Arun Valley in West Sussex, Pulborough Brooks has beautiful views across to the South Downs and is set in one of the richest areas for nature in the country. A 171-hectare reserve bought by the RSPB in 1989. It is predominantly wet grassland but also has farmland, woodland, hedgerows and other habitats. Main bird interest is in winter with many species of waterfowl and over-wintering raptors. There is also passage of waders in the spring and autumn and a wide range of breeding birds including Nightingale, Lesser Whitethroat and chats.
