Spring is currently about a year old and is a female tuxedo cat that I found in April 2021 lying in the bushes next to my work parking lot. She had been run over by a car and when I took her to the vet, it turned out she had two broken rear legs, (her left leg was completely smashed) and her right hip was fractured. There were flies buzzing around her legs because of infections that had set in underneath her fur. The vet put her in splints and I kept her in a small enclosed area for the next two months to allow for the bones to heal. Kittens are miracle healers but she was hard to keep calm and not get too excited so I was constantly afraid she would re-injure herself. In her mind she had already adapted to her current condition and really considered herself healed. This video was in October 2021 and shows how well she was able to recover after six months. These days her biggest challenge has been getting my manx cat Shadow, (adopted in June 2020) to accept her new "sister." Follow Shadow and Spring on Instagram @meandmyshadowcat
