===============================================

The breed standard of each organization determines the look of the Siamese. According to most cat groups, the Siamese should have a slim yet muscular build with long lines. The long, wedge-shaped skull tapers outward to the tips of the ears, making a triangle.

The Manx is known for lacking a tail, however not all Manx are completely tailless. Some have normal-length tails, known as "longies," while others have short tails, known as "stumpies." A Manx with no tail is called a "rumpy," whereas one with merely a rise of bone at the end of the spine is called a "riser." Only rumpies and risers are displayed in the show ring, however cats with tails can be used in Manx breeding operations.
