===============================================

The Singapura was created in the 1970s by cat fanciers Hal and Tommy Meadow from cats discovered in Singapore, the Lion City. His diminutive stature (4 to 8 pounds), large eyes and ears for his size, and sepia-toned coat give him the appearance of stepping out of a 19th century picture.

When you see an Ocicat, you don't go dotty. You are looking at a tiny spotted cat, but he is not wild. Not at all. The Ocicat was developed by crossing Siamese, Abyssinian, and American Shorthair cats. He was called after the ocelot, a tiny South American wild felid, however he is entirely domestic. The Ocicat is one of those fortunate accidents that may happen while mating cats. All other cat registries accept them as well.
