===============================================

If you have a cat allergy and love cats, there are a few hairless cat breeds and cat breeds that don't shed much that may help relieve your itchy eyes and runny nose—or at the very least save you money on lint rollers.

Unfortunately, no cat breeds are completely hypoallergenic. This is due to the production of an allergenic protein called Fel d 1 in the sebaceous glands of cats' skin, as well as in their saliva, dander, and urine. Because all cats have these things, they all create Fel d 1—which means you are exposed to it every time you touch a cat.
