Tiger and Lion!
Lion…
The symbol of strength, power and courage... The lions has lived on different places on this planet for over a million years. Nowadays most of lions live in Africa. But there is also a small population of lions called the Asian lion that lives in India.
Lions have large breasts and fur that range in color from light beige to reddish and dark brown in appearance. Some lions also have a gray coat. Males are larger than females, with wider heads and mane. The average Lion has an overall height of 50", and body length of 85" and weigh from 360 to over 420 pounds.
Lions usually live in savannas and meadows, but can also live in shrubs and forests. A total of 25,000 lions live in the wild. A quarter of the number of lions that lived 25 years ago. The lion population in West Africa is now less than 450 and it is believed that the cat will soon become extinct in this area.
Lions hunt either alone or in prides. In collaborative hunts, it is usually the lioness who initiates the kill. Lions stalk their prey and, when close enough, attempt a short charge on their prey, trying either to pounce on their target or knock it over. They then kill their victim by breaking its neck or suffocating it by clamping their jaws around its throat.
Tiger…
The most biggest cat on the planet.
About 4000 tigers live in isolated areas of Asia and eastern Russia. Also half of Bengal tigers population lives in Indian national parks. Because tiger populations are on the brink of extinction in many countries of south east Asia. Unfortunately, tigers have been hunted by man for centuries. Killing a tiger was once considered a status symbol. But tigers can isolate in the wild and it is very difficult to spot them. To survive and thrive in its own environment, the tiger has strong physical characteristics.
The size of the tiger depends on where it lives and the subtype of its habitat. The northern subspecies tend to be larger than those of the south. An adult tiger can grow up to 6’10” and weigh up to 700 pounds. Boasting the longest canine teeth (2.5 to 3 inches) of all cats, tigers present a fearsome display; they also have the bite force to back it up, delivering more than a thousand pounds-per-square-inch of pressure—almost twice as much bite force as the king of the jungle.
Tigers often ambush their prey as other cats do, overpowering their prey from any angle, using their body size and strength to knock prey off balance. Once prone, the tiger bites the back of the neck, often breaking the prey's spinal cord. After biting, the tiger then uses its muscled forelimbs to hold onto the prey, bringing it to the ground. The tigers are powerful swimmers, known to kill prey while swimming. Some tigers have even ambushed boats for the fishermen on board or their catches of fish.
Tigers are more nervous than lions due to their living conditions. Lions run faster and much more mobile and agile. Tigers are more muscular and heavier than lions.
If Lions and Tigers Fight, Who Will Win?
Both animals have active and weak points against each other. Tigers have a slightly higher advantage in this fight, as they are more muscular and larger. The main point in the fight is that tigers fight like a boxer on their hind legs. In this way, tigers are one step ahead thanks to their agile and powerful attacks. But the lion's strong hunting abilities that make it king of the forests won't let this war to end so easily.
