Today, as I left New York with my cat Mia, something pretty cool happened.

You know how New York is a place where anything can happen?

Well, as soon as we stepped out of that buzzing city, people started noticing Mia in a big way.

She seemed to catch everyone’s attention.

We stopped at this parking lot to stretch our legs, and that’s when two kids spotted Mia. They were immediately drawn to her.

Maybe it was her green eyes or her spots or just how chilled she seemed with her tail straight up. They came over and couldn’t stop staring her. Mia, in her usual style, was loving the attention.

These kids did not want to leave. They were so taken with the “adventure cat”.

It was a simple moment, but it really stuck with me.

We were just a few hours outside New York, and here was Mia, making a couple of kids’ day in a random parking lot.

Sometimes (most of the times) I wish adventure cats were more “normalized”. However, I find very rewarding to be able to make someone’s ordinary day a bit more special.
