Did you know that many snakes and lizards can live long and healthy lives in a 20 gallon tank or an enclosure of the same size or dimensions? The example here is a reptile enclosure measuring roughly 3 sqft of floor space. Front opening glass enclosures or regular old 20 gallon fish tanks work great. Red Eyed Croc Skink enclosures can easily be made of a 20 gallon enclosure! Whether you want a planted bio active enclosure or a skink setup a little bit more simple. These cute little lizards can live in one of these forever. Ring Necked Snakes are some of the smallest snakes in the world and can actually do really well living in a 20 gallon setup forever. They will never grow the the length of the enclosure and some may argue a ring necked snake would do well in a ten gallon enclosure too. Poison Dart Frogs are super tiny little amphibians and a dart frog enclosure of a 20 gallon size would be perfect. You could even put a colony of frogs in one of these tanks. Schneider's Skinks are one of the most underrated lizards or even most underrated reptiles in the whole hobby! A pair or a single Schneiders skink could live in a 20 gallon fish tank or enclosure forever no problem. Of course Chinese Cave Gecko enclosures are usually 10 gallons. But, a 20 long in my opinion would be much better!
