We adopted a rescued black cat from New Hope Animal Rescue, Guelph, ON
Chatsworth, his new name Galileo, was born on March 29th, 2022. This adorable boy is all black with long hair and is almost four months old. He is affectionate, curious, happy, and active. We are so lucky to have him.
I would love to bring up the topic of Black Cat Syndrome. Black Cat Syndrome is a very real phenomenon. They are often overlooked in shelters and rescues. people simply don't want them for some ridiculous reason. They are more likely to be euthanized in overcrowded shelters. To top it off, black cats face absurd and stupid stigmas which place them in danger, especially during the Halloween season.
Ironically, black cats are often the most affectionate and loving cats. They are true lovers.
When choosing to adopt, please consider a black cat!
