10-Day-Old Kitten's Leg And Tail Were Ripped Off In A Tragic Accident

A desperate mother dropped her 10-day-old baby off somewhere where she hoped people would see, and help. The small baby had experienced some major trauma, and it had left her with her foot and tail completely cut off.

She was discovered outside of a window when people located inside the business heard crying. We can’t imagine the pain that this small baby had been experiencing and for how long? The kind people who found her contacted us to see if we could help. We agreed without question, and we had her rushed to the vet.

Immediately upon arrival, the vets got to work. They needed to amputate the exposed bone on her leg, but any further procedures would need to wait until she was a bit older and stronger. She was given a dose of dewormer and was left to rest. We are working together to make sure she is bottle-fed, and that will continue for the next 6 weeks until she is large enough to have something more solid.

In roughly the same amount of time, she will be re-examined to see if the entire leg will need to be amputated. Until then, we will work on caring for this precious soul and giving her all the love and attention she can handle!

Her condition will require ongoing medical care and potentially more surgeries. We are asking our awesome rescue community to please consider donating to her care.
