Osprey pair Andy & Lena have arrived back to the nest early this year! They have done more work on the nest than in years past. WTW hope that is a good sign. Since this camera has been here, this pair has never been able to successfully raise chicks to the age where they can fledge. Sadly, each year crows have taken the osprey chicks, as they are an easy food source. Maybe this year will be different since Andy & Lena are starting early? In the event that there are eggs, and they do hatch, WTW will be taking this stream offline. It is nature and it is the circle of life but that doesn't mean this is the content anyone would enjoy watching. WTW will have recordings going the whole time and will update everyone. If the chicks are able to make it to a good size and are in the clear from the dangers of crows, WTW will turn the stream back on. WTW will also publish a video of all the time WTW missed when the live stream was off.
This nest is located on the same property as the Captiva Eagle Nest. Sometimes WTW will see Connie & Martin stop by the osprey nest.
