Ex-rescue kitten Ficus had a great time during our stay at our home in the countryside. He was able to spend a lot of time outdoors. He got to play with doggie friends Emma & Shirley and cat pal Giro. Rihanna is getting friendly with him and the other 2 divas - Beyoncé and Adele seem to like him too. He saw the chickens and the other animals in the compound. He also got to walk all the way to the back and see the banana trees, which he found to be weird because they didn’t have branches. And he likes to climb trees and sit on the branches. But that weird banana tree….

He got back in the big city a few days ago. In the beginning he was homesick and wanted to go back home. But now he’s getting used to being a solo cat again in a high rise apartment with his hooman. He’s already playing by himself.

Ficus was about 3 months old when we rescued him. Months later we found out that he was a Japanese bobtail. This breed is known for its very pleasant playful nature, is affectionate and highly intelligent. When given enough adjustment time, he also adapts well to his surroundings. He’s quite a fun cat to have.
